WCU--Prof. Dr. Alnedral, M.Pd, the dean of FIK in all of Indonesia and dean of the Faculty of Sports Science (FIK UNP), participated in the activities conducted on the grounds of the international Olympic academy from March 9 to 16, 2023, in Athens, Greece. In this activity, Prof. Dr. Konstantinos Georgiadis, the dean of the International Olympic Academy in Athens, Greece, led a global workshop on the history of sport and the Olympic spirit, the Olympic movement, and innovative physical education, sport, and Olympic values education in higher education.
Visits were also made to a number of historical Olympic sites around the globe that were connected to the Greek games tradition during this activity. The FIK Dean's group also watched the laboratory activities and the sports learning process at a number of renowned Greek universities. According to the dean of FIK UNP, we learned a lot about how the world of sports changed from a traditional to a contemporary setting, including the moral principles that were ingrained in athletes and sportsmen. In order for the Sports Education curriculum, particularly for UNP, to serve as a guide for lecturers pursuing their studies in this Greek nation, we also need to look at how pertinent it is to the advancement of culture and civilization.
The dean of FIK from all over Indonesia visited the Indonesian Embassy in Greece to speak and discuss developments in education in Greece, according to the Education Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in this country, in addition to visiting educational objects and the history of sports civilization in several cities in Greece.
